RHealth is committed to advancing eHealth in the Darling Downs and South West Queensland. From the early beginnings of computerising general practice RHealth has witnessed the shift of eHealth over the years to the current focus is the establishment of shared electronic health records and patient held electronic health records.

 

Currently RHealth is working with PRECEDENCE HEALTH CARE to improve general practice collaboration with other health care providers in managing patients with chronic conditions using the cdmNet service. This system uses new evidence-based model for collaborative care for managing chronic conditions in the primary care setting.

 

RHealth is currently piloting an e-Referral System. The RHealth e-Referral System enables Health Professionals to make referrals electronically using secure online based system. It aims to create a ‘one-stop shop’ for accessing RHealth Programs and others services available in your region.

 

RHealth is also involved and engaged with General Practice Queensland in developing and implementing a Data Quality Guide. The purpose of the Data Quality Guideis to improve the quality of data and information products that are used for planning, reporting and decision-making within the Queensland Divisions Network. The Guide can help to facilitate the systematic assessment, improvement and documentation of data quality for all databases and registries that it is applied to.

 

We are also working with Queensland Health to establish and assist in the roll out electronic discharge summaries in RHealth region.

 

Future eHealth plans include rolling out e-Health record systems that align with the National Reform Blueprint for the Cevelopment of an eHealth Record system.
