The first round of Medicare Locals was announced by Minister for Health and Ageing, Nicola Roxon, on Monday 6 June. You can view the Media Release here.
Nineteen Medicare Locals will be established from 1 July 2011. Applications under the second round will close Tuesday 19 July 2011, and these organisations will commence from 1 January 2012 and 1 July 2012.
