Berneice Hilly joined RHealth in September 2008 as the Community Nutritionist for the Northern Downs, and transitioned to the South Burnett Community Nutritionist position in June 2010. Berneice’s role is to plan, implement and evaluate nutrition related health promoting activities throughout the South Burnett. These activities focus on preventing nutrition related disease in all age groups and promoting healthy eating by affecting the food supply, food habits and the social environment.

 

Berneice has a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutrition (QUT), a Graduate Diploma in Public Health Nutrition (University of Canberra) and a Master of Public Health Nutrition (QUT). Berneice aims to contribute to improving the food supply in rural areas, promote the importance of nutrition at critical life stages to reduce the risk of lifestyle related diseases, and help make the healthier choice the easier choice.
