Wayne Mann – Senior Manager, Mental Health Programs

Wayne is a registered psychologist with endorsements in both Clinical and Counselling psychology with AHPRA. He has more than 20 years experience as a psychologist, having qualified with a Masters Degree in Psychology in South Africa. His experience has been gleaned from academic institutions and private practice and, for the last eight years, serving GPs and communities in rural communities in Queensland. His role for the last four of these years saw him managing psychological and counselling services in Toowoomba and South West Queensland while servicing a small patient load as well. 
 
Wayne's clinical fields of interests relate to assisting patients with anxiety and depression, stress management and managing grief and loss.  Although his approach is largely psychodynamic, Wayne is well versed in the cognitive based therapy modalities to manage these conditions.
 
Wayne is passionate about serving the rural community and more recently promoting the development of psychologists in this area through supervision. Having completed the Supervisor Training and Accreditation Program (STAP) and as a member of the College of Clinical Psychologists, he is well versed to provide this service.
 
In this role, Wayne seeks to provide a professional and clinical slant to the administration of service agreements under ATAPS to best serve GPs and their patients. He will also provide direction to the Mental Health Services in Rural and Remote Areas Program and headspace Southern Downs.
