Danielle Causer - Program Officer Curo (Northern Downs)

Danielle moved to Chinchilla in June 2009. After working various positions with Queensland Health, Danielle initially joined RHealth as the CURO Program Coordinator for the Northern Downs region. Danielle’s role was to contribute to the development and implementation of the CURO program, primarily within the Northern Downs Region, although travel to the Southern Downs was required. Danielle’s aim was to improve access, coordination and quality of chronic disease care offered to clients by health providers using the CURO program.

Danielle completed her Bachelor of Nursing Degree at The University of Newcastle to become a Registered Nurse in 2002. Danielle’s nursing in New South Wales was primarily in rural areas. Danielle moved to Queensland in 2005 and has worked as an Agency nurse in Toowoomba before getting into General Practice as a practice nurse, where she completed her Pap Smear provider status as well as a Graduate Certificate in General Practice from the University of the Sunshine Coast.
 
Here in Chinchilla, Danielle has worked on the ward at the Chinchilla Hospital as well as in Community Health, ATODs, and the School Based Youth Health Nurse program.
Danielle’s current position is as a Registered Nurse as part of the Rural Primary Health Services program. Through this program, Danielle aims to make positive changes for the community with regard to prevention and management of chronic disease.
